What began in 2003 as an community project at a small rural school in Western North Dakota has become a unique opportunity for individuals to develop welding and metalworking skills that are in increasingly greater demand for the 21st century. This program has received attention from both local and national sources, including the Bismarck Tribune, Off the Beaten Path- KFYR (NBC)- Bismarck, ND, and the American Welding Society's Welding Journal (April, 2004) amongst others. Please check out our site, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call the school at 701-938-4391, or e-mail Mr. Hart by clicking on his name at the top of our pages.

Also, our Welding Program Coordinator, Mr. Ron Biberdorf may be available to visit with your group or institution to help more fully explain the full scope and scale of the training offered by this program.

The professions of welding and metal workers are in dire need new capable workers, and the industry is willing to pay for these skills, not only in North Dakota, but through the country. Here is a recent article from the Wall Street Journal highlighting this growing national need.

If you have never so much as struck an arc, or are a well seasoned weldor or metalworker, the Halliday Welding Technology Program has much to offer!
